Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Sends Christmas Greetings to Israeli and all Christians

Benjamin Netanyahu : Dec 16, 2011

(Israel)—The office of the prime minister of Israel has released a video of Benjamin Netanyahu thanking Christians for their support. Here are some excerpts from that message:

Netanyahu's greeting"I want to wish the Christian citizens of Israel, as well as Christians around the world, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Israel is proud of its strong and growing Christian community, and we are proud of the deep and passionate support of so many Christian friends of Israel around the world."

"We are living in a time of great uncertainty and instability in the Middle East and Israel, throughout this instability, remains a beacon of religious freedom and pluralism. In a region where Christians are routinely persecuted and where there is little tolerance for the faith of others, Israel safeguards the holy places of the great religion and ensures freedom of worship for all."

WORLD EVANGELIST WHO ADVISES PRESIDENTS

The following article appeared on the front cover and central pages of the Swedish Daily Newspaper "Världen Idag" in November.

Over the past 35 years Dr. Peter Gammons preached to more than one hundred million people in 70 different nations. He is also a personal friend and adviser to several world leaders in Central and South America, Asia and Africa advising them on issues that are important for Christians. Now Gammons wants to see Christians in Europe stand up.

"It is time for the church and Christian leaders to speak out," he told 'The World Today' (Världen Idag) newspaper during his visit to Sweden. At the invitation of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship, Dr. Peter Gammons is currently touring Sweden. 'The World Today' (Världen Idag) caught up with him after he had preached in St. Clara Church in Stockholm. Though famous in Sweden, it was relatively small for a man that has preached to millions of people. Born and raised near Cambridge, England, Peter committed his life to Christ in the 1970s. He later received what he describes as a 'dramatic and supernatural' call to take God's healing power to the world. After that invitations to visit churches and to hold meetings instantly began to flow in. Additional invitations from missionaries in Africa led to big healing crusades over the entire continent. Then, invitations started flooding in from Asia. From there the work has spread worldwide over the past three decades.

His largest events have been in Asia, where up to four million people have attended a single service, which is historically documented as the largest event in history.

"I laugh sometimes, I still see myself as the boy from Ramsey (a small farming town in England). I'm just an ordinary person."

During the last 30 years, Peter Gammons has preached to more than 100 million people in 70 nations, while at the same time regularly meeting with Heads of State. Today, several world leaders see him as a counsellor and friend and he is frequently sought out for advice.

The Philippine Speaker of the House of Representatives and de-facto Prime Minister, along with the nation's Majority Leader in the Senate and Manila's Mayor, all wrote to Great Britain's Queen Elisabeth recommending him for a knighthood because of his importance for their nation. The Prime Minister described him as his "number one adviser." In the Philippines, most of the country's political leaders are seen in his services. In Trinidad and Tobago he has also had a significant role as adviser to the country's Prime Minister.

Gammons agreed that it is not entirely risk free to intermix church and politics. "There is always a risk when preachers become politicians," he stated. "I have seen several preachers who became politicians, but not perform well. Moreover, they become weaker as preachers. Nevertheless, I believe that there is a place for Christians and preachers in politics. One of my good friends is a preacher and will probably run for President in his country in 2010."

As both preacher and adviser Dr Gammons is not afraid to raise issues of importance to Christians.

However, combining the roles of evangelist and personal advisor to African and Asian Presidents and Prime Ministers, is probably an entirely different thing to secular Europe. Nevertheless, Peter Gammons believes that it is now time for Christians to raise their voices in Europe. In Great Britain, he is involved in a new initiative raising up Christians to pray for the country and to hold politicians accountable to voters.

"In Great Britain 85 percent of the country's citizens call themselves Christians. Only three percent are Muslims and fourteen percent atheists or agnostics. Although the word 'Christian' in this respect is broad, we are still vastly in the majority. The problem is, it is minority groups that demand their rights and liberties, while we who are Christians permit all our liberties to be taken from us," he says.

The initiative has received support from several Christian politicians in Great Britain. One of the more well-known is Baronesses Caroline Cox, Vice Speaker of Parliament in Britain's House of Lords.

"It is time for the church and Christian leaders to speak out," Gammons continued. "The politicians have been elected in order to represent the people. They are not there for their own sake. They are there to represent us. The problem is, today, they do not represent us."

"Christians are too passive. I am not encouraging being offensive nor do I endorse the use of violence, however, we must stand up for what we believe. Everyone is always waiting for someone else to do it. As leaders it is our responsibility to speak out on important issues," Peter Gammons says.

Christianity goes global as world's largest religion

December 20, 2011

(CNN) -- Christians are by far the largest religious group on the planet, and the religion has gone truly global over the past century, according to a new report out Monday, which finds some of the world's biggest Christian communities in surprising places.

Europe was the clear center of world Christianity one hundred years ago, but today the Americas are home to more than a third of all Christians. The United States has the world's largest Christian population, of more than 247 million, followed by Brazil and Mexico.

China also appears on the list of top 10 largest Christian populations -- with an estimated 67 million Christians, it has more followers of the faith than any western European country.

There are nearly 2.2 billion Christians around the world, making up about one-third of the world's population -according to the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life.

Islam is the world's second largest religion, with about 1.6 billion followers worldwide, the Washington-based organization calculates. That's just under one-quarter of the estimated 2010 world population of 6.9 billion.

Sub-Saharan Africa has seen the biggest explosion in its Christian population in the past century, going from about 9 million Christians in 1910 to about 516 million today - nearly a quarter of all the world's Christians. Three of the world's ten largest Christian populations are in Africa: Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ethiopia.

The study, "Global Christianity," is based on demographic and data from 232 countries and territories. It's part of the Pew-Templeton Global Religious Futures Project, which has also included reports on the current and projected number of Muslims in the world.  It does not measure practice or belief, merely counting as Christian anyone who says they are.

The report calculates that half the world's Christians are Catholic, 37% are Protestants, and 12% are Orthodox. The remaining 1 percent belong to other traditions.

British atheists launch 'No God' ads on buses

An association of atheists has launched a 'No God' advertising campaign on buses across Britain and on the London Underground with the slogan: 'There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.'

´Back to God´ Campaign President, Dr Peter Gammons said,"What a waste of their money; that is the atttitude of most people anyway.  Go to any pub or nightclub any weekend of the year and you will see how ingrained this philosophy already is.  That is the reason why there is so much violence, alcahol adiction and drug abuse in our land. "

A total of 600 buses in Scotland, England and Wales and 200 bendy buses in London will carry the slogan for four weeks following a fundraising drive that raised more than £140,000. The money raised will also pay for 1,000 advertisements on London underground and a pair of giant LCD screens opposite Bond Street tube station in Oxford Street.

Dr Gammons further added, "Use of the word 'probably´ shows how unconvinced the advertisers really are.  Perhaps we should start a counter campaign .... What if there is?´

Theology think tank Theos and the Methodist Church said it was a great way to keep people thinking about God.  However, the offices of London Metro, the government body responsible for the city's buses and subways, have already received several complaints from the devout about the advertisements.

HOLDING M.P.s ACCOUNTABLE

"Stop voting for political parties and elect good people who cherish your views." Dr Gammons, President of 'The Back to God Campign stated as political groups prepare for the coming elections. "Write to them to find out what those standing believe on such issues as abortion on demand, immigration, freedom of religion, etc.  and then publish their responses in your church magazine to help others vote."

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

Have you ever heard it said, "Why doesn't God do something?"

The answer is because He gave mankind dominion over the earth.  The word 'dominion' means 'absolute authority and supreme control'. He made us responsible.  Jesus said, "What you bind on earth is bound, what you loose is loosed". Prayer and action go together.  I'm tired of hearing christians just say, "I'll pray about it." that can be a cop-out. The future and destiny of our nation is in our hands.  IT'S TIME TO ACT!"

             COMMUNITY WITH NO MORALITY

Harringey has been labelled as having communities with no morality after a baby was murdered.  According to the Times Newspaper's Leading Article in November 13th 2008, the child's mother appears never to have had a job and watched pornographic movies on TV all the time while her infant son cried for attention.

She shared her filthy council house with two men, neither of whom were the father of the child. One was allegedly a sadist of appalling barbarity who collected Nazi memorabilia, the other imported his 15 year old girl friend into the house. Where were the parents of that girl?  Who was looking out for her?  What sort of society has taken root in what was supposed to be a civilised society?

At the same time, the papers were reporting the story of a woman who allegedly locked her daughter up in a room and told police she was missing, in order to claim a £50,000 reward.

Alongside the above story was that of a politician who put in a £½ million expenses claim.  He merely lost his job; the woman who tried to get £50,000 went to jail.  So once more there is one law for the politicians, and another for the man in the street.  Without God, everything becomes subjective and every person decides for themselves what is right or wrong. Any Godless system for deciding what is right or wrong simply leads to a totalitarian state.

What newspapers and politicians forget is that morality is based on the fact that there is a God.  If there is no God, then everything becomes personal preference. If there is no God, there is no right or wrong. Right or wrong is determined by the individual.

Prime Minister David Cameron has called Britain a 'broken society,'  because it has lost its roots. 'The Times' referred to society as  'acivilized', forgetting that civilization came to Britiain with Christianity.  Although some like to point out that horrific things have been done in the name of Christianity and religion, the reality is that it was the Christian missionaries who stopped child sacrifice, built hospitals, organised schools, and housed the homeless.

Civilization is based on the fact that there is a God. The Atheistic, Communistic system, where millions have been murdered because they would not submit to an imposed ideology and treat men as god, is simply evidence of what the world becomes when God is removed. Our country is rapidly becoming a police state.

Where has our society gone? How have we stooped to the point where murdering babies has become a form of birth control? Even what we might call 'uncivilized' tribes protect their children and unborn.

How can we tell a person it is wrong to murderwhen we efend the rights of a person to murder their own unborn child as a woman's 'right'. Is it just a 'featus'?  So why is it if someone else kills a pregnant woman they are charged with double murder?

Politicians speak of people not having a conscience, but if there is no God, conscience is no more than social conditioning. It is simply one man's opinion against that of another.  'The Times' reference to communities without morality is an anomaly, for morality is also based on belief in God.  If there is no God, there is no morality.

A man once said to me on a TV programme 'There are no absolutes', to which I replied, 'can you be absolutely sure of that?'  If there are no absolutes, eliminating anyone who stands in your way would be the logical thing to do, as atheistic and Godless governments have always done. The Khymer Rouge, for example, murdered anyone who wore glasses, claiming they were intellectuals.

Students bringing guns into school and opening fire has become a regular occurance.  What our society has become was aptly illustrated by a serious cartoon that appeared in an America newspaper after the Columbine Massacre where a student gunned down fellow students.  In the first picture the question was asked 'Where was God?' The second picture shows a voice responding from Heaven "Didn't you know that I have been banned from America schools?"

                            A LOGICAL FAITH

The British Ten Pound note carries a drawing of Charles Darwin.  How sad that the Royal Mint could not think of a more deserving British National to honour. It was Darwin' theory of the survival of the fittest which inspired both Lenin and Hitler in their strategic 'cleansing'society of the weak and dependent.

The theory of evolution was thrust upon us by a series of deliberate hoaxes which even fooled the British Museum. Without these fake exhibits the theory would not have gained credence. Darwin fully believed that it was only a matter of time before the so called 'missing link' would be found. He believed that archaeology would vindicate his theory. Yet one hundred years later, the missing link is still missing and the finds of archaeology increasingly contradict his claims.

Richard Dawkins claims that faith in God is 'blind faith.' I would challenge him that his atheistic views  are the 'blind faith' refusing to acknowledge facts.  Items of intricate jewellery have been found in soil strata apparently laid down millions of years before mankind walked the earth. If our world were as old as the theory of evolution needs it to be, astronauts should have found metres (feet) of dust on the moon as it is void of wind and seas.  Instead they found centimetres. A fact that Dawkins likes to hide is that numerous scientists as academically qualified as himself who have come to faith in God BECAUSE of the evidence of archaeology.

                                                                               SPEAK UP

One complaint about an offensive scene in a TV programme is taken to represent 1,000 who felt the same way, but didn't bother writing.  Just 200 complaints can have an unwholesome programme removed. So, don't put up with trash any longer - speak up and speak out.   Don't be silent - be responsible!

70% COERCED INTO ABORTION

Angela Watkinson, Conservative MP for Upminster has boldly proposed a new Clause in the Commons to ensure that any woman considering a termination does so having been offered counselling and advice concerning the likely risks both to her emotional and physical health and the likely impact on future pregnancies.

According to a report by the Communicate Research this year, 70% of those who have received abortions have revealed afterwards that they were coerced into the decision.  The report claims that one third of women will change their minds about having an abortion if given time and space to think about it.

Dr Peter Saunders, general secretary of the Christian Medical Fellowship, believes that many women are also unaware of the risks to their mental and physical health and the posibility of being unable to conceive in the future.

The British Medical Association has also appeared in support of the Clause, after its Annual Representative meeting recorded that it "urges the BMA to campaign for increased counselling and supporty for women before and after this procedure".

Evan Harris, Liberal Democrat MP for Oxford West and Abingdon denounced Ms Watkinson's proposal as unnecessary and unethical.  He claimed, "it would be unethical to impose by statute, or in any other way, information on people.

Some talk abut protecting a woman's rights, but when will someone protect the unborn child's rights?  For further information  contact the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC).  Tel 020 7091 7091.  www.spuc.org.uk

UK SUPPORT FOR 'FAITH BASED' SCHOOLS

According to new research poll by opinion Research Business, most of the UK population believes it has the right to choose a faith based state school for its children.  The survey was of 1,000 respondents across Britain - from both religious and non religious backgrounds. Two thirds agreed that parents should be able to chosse a state run school for their child based on their own religious, moral or philosophical considerations.   79% believed that church schools provide a broad and balanced education.
